ABOUT
Lorelle Rau is an artist and art administrator, currently pursuing an MA in Arts Administration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Graduating with a BS in Art Management and a BA in Studio Art from Appalachian State University, Rau was involved in many facets of the arts community in Boone, NC. She began her career serving as Curator of the Looking Glass Gallery and later worked in the College Exhibitions Department at the Corcoran Gallery of Art/College of Art + Design.
Presently, Rau works as an art consultant and facilitates emerging artists in her role at Crossroads Art Center. Rau’s curatorial experience includes Sensory Overload at the Corcoran in 2010 and several exhibitions at Chasen Galleries (Richmond, VA) and the Looking Glass Gallery (Boone, NC).
Rau is also a mixed media collage artist and displays her work in galleries throughout the southeast. Currently, she resides in the historic Church Hill neighborhood in Richmond, VA with her boyfriend and German Shepherd mix, Tanner.
